Full Throttle is a high energy rock cover band based in Richmond, VA.  We bring a LA vibe to your door covering artists such as GNR, Poison, Motley Crue, and Skid Row.  For the classic rock fan we've got Journey, Van Halen, Dio, and Led Zeppelin.  Rounding out the mix are artists such as Alice in Chains  and Velvet Revolver.  The audience will also hear a few artists not frequently covered such as The Cult, Rush,  and Faster Pussycat. Full Throttle delivers a fully loaded show with high voltage rock and special effects that is certain to entertain and engage the audience.

KEVIN JAMES

Kevin has over 30 years of experience in the music industry starting in his home state of West Virginia.  He began his music career playing bass, adding rhythm guitar along the way, and ultimately becoming the lead singer and songwriter in several original and cover bands throughout VA, PA, and WV.  Kevin has been involved in all other aspects of music, including  lights, sound, recording, and production.  In a production capacity,  he has worked with a variety of national acts, most notably RATT, Bryan Adams, Huey Lewis & The News, & Foreigner. His musical influences range from Dream Theater to Iron Maiden and his vocal style is most reminiscent of Sebastian Bach and Bon Scott.

TREY BENNETT

Born and raised in Ashland VA, Trey  has been drumming for 3 decades in the Richmond, Va. Washington, D.C., Tampa, Fla., and Los Angeles, Ca. areas. Richmonders may remember him from the popular bands RagDoll, Bad Medicine,  and Stretch Tracy; those in the D.C area may have seen him with Sheer Greed and Machine Gun Preachers. Trey played and recorded with several bands, in different genres of music in Los Angeles in the 90's, and moved back to Virginia in 2000. Since 2000, Trey has played, filled in, and recorded with: Rocket Queen (G'N'R Tribute), Hotter Than Hell (KISS Tribute) Little Ozzy (Ozzy Tribute), Rezyn, Kyle Davis, Crush, Recovery, FastLayne, and Divine Affected. Trey has also taught several drummers in the Richmond area, and a few in L.A. that are now playing in clubs, and on bigger stages.

MARK TUPKO

Mark joins Full Throttle on bass, coming from Richmond PROG band Kinetic Element with whom he still plays. Born in Poland, he went to music school in Gdansk City where he took drum classes but after a few years he started playing lead guitar. Later he switched his instrument again and ever since he has loved to play bass! Mark was featured in a half hour television special and two music-videos with the band “Brama” from Gdansk- Poland. He went on to various recording work in the USA. In  2015  Kinetic Element released a new album "Travelog" which gave them the opportunity to play the biggest  progressive rock music festivals in the USA and Canada in May 2016. He has played many different styles of music from jazz, blues, prog to heavy metal. After relocating to Virginia in 1994, Mark played in a variety of local bands: Silver Pocket, Rukus, Monkey Fist, Zoften Woofey, The Deaves, 3rd Power, & Crush. Mark has garnered quite a fan-base, along with a reputation for his skill and showmanship. He counts among his influences  Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Gedy Lee, and Chris Squire. He plays on Ampeg SVT and Trace Elliot equipment, and pulls from a bass collection including a Modulus OB-6, Tobias Basic 5, Washburn XB 925 custom, Rickenbacker, Fender-5, MM-5, G&L 2500 and Carvin XB 75 fretless.

GREG OGOREK, "HONORARY MEMBER"

Greg Ogorek is the man of many talents...bass, guitar, vocals...he can do it all!  Greg has filled in for us on several occasions and offered much support to the band in general.  He's not a fulltime member of Full Throttle but we like him so much we are placing him in the Full Throttle Hall of Fame!
